One of the most common supplements people take are multivitamins. Unlike many of the supplements I discuss, multivitamins are not solely taken by athletes or bodybuilders.
The vast majority of people that take multivitamins do so because they want to be healthy and ensure that their body is getting the recommended daily amount of vitamins and minerals.
It’s a very easy step for many to take towards better health. While getting into the habit of working out can be difficult, taking one (or several) vitamins a day is easy for most to do, as long as they remember to do it!
I am a huge advocate for multivitamins and have been taking them as long as I can remember. Seriously, even before I was a teenager I can remember taking them. I also recall taking Flintstones vitamins as a child. If only all supplements tasted as good as those do right?
Like many supplements though, most of the multivitamins sold today contain artificial and unnecessary ingredients which can be harmful to our health.
There are a ton of cheaply made vitamins available in stores for people to buy and consume. Even worse, are expensive vitamins that are filled with the same garbage as the cheap ones. Some supplement “authorities” will claim that all vitamins are created equally so you may as well purchase the cheapest ones possible.
As you might guess, I totally disagree with that. Like all supplements we take, it is wise to take the purest and highest quality ones we can.
While searching for a quality multivitamin, I became very frustrated trying to find a good one that did not contain artificial ingredients. It proved to be quite difficult initially.
That was until I found the Daily Multicap vitamins produced by a company called Pure Vitamin Club. As if the company name alone doesn’t clarify their intentions, they set out to produce a vitamin free of additives or fillers. Just pure vitamins. As you will find below, I think they definitely accomplished their mission.
These are awesome vitamins and I am very excited to present you with my Pure Vitamin Club multivitamin review.
What is Pure Vitamin Club?
Pure Vitamin Club is a vitamin company created by a guy named Vinnie Tortorich. Vinnie is many things to include a celebrity trainer, podcaster, author and speaker.
Vinnie is typically known for promoting a diet called No sugar No Grains (NSNG), which is along the lines of a paleo type diet. For more information about the diet, I highly recommend Vinnie’s best-selling book, Fitness Confidential. I recommend getting the audio version of the book read by Vinnie as I did, because you’re going to love this guys voice and personality.
Anyways, the important thing is that Vinnie is very knowledgeable and well-respected in the health and fitness community. He is not just some random guy that decided to produce a vitamin.
Vinnie explains in the Why Pure Vitamin Club section of the website that he created Pure Vitamin Club because he was upset with the difficulty of finding a vitamin free of artificial fillers and preservatives. Vinnie explains that he wanted to create a vitamin free of artificial fillers and ingredients that is actually good for you at a reasonable price.
Pure Vitamin Club is designed to be a vitamin subscription service. If you purchase their Daily Multicap vitamins through their website, which I recommend, you will need to set up a reoccurring subscription of either 30 or 90 days. You can order all of their other supplements through their website on one time basis and do not need to subscribe to anything. Their multivitamins are available on Amazon however, so if you are really set on ordering them without a subscription you can do so.
With Pure Vitamin Club, you choose the vitamins you want and select whether you want them delivered every 30 or 90 days. The vitamins are then delivered to your door like clockwork. You will never run out of vitamins again. Pure Vitamin Club also provides members with free newsletters and videos each month.
At the time of this post, Pure Vitamin Club produces the following supplements: a multivitamin, magnesium, Vitamin B-12, Vitamin D3 and an electrolyte complex.
Daily Multicap
Although I have purchased their magnesium as well in the past, Pure Vitamin Club’s Daily Multicap is the supplement that I have taken the most from them. It is my current go-to daily multivitamin and has been for years.
The Daily Multicap is an essential multivitamin/multimineral formula designed to be taken daily as the name implies. This vitamin is specifically designed and formulated to provide the optimal amounts of the 13 essential vitamins and 11 key minerals.
Ingredients
This may just be the easiest ingredient section I’ve done to date. Aside from the vitamins and minerals, the only other ingredient in these vitamins is vegetable capsules from cellulose, as the vitamins are in capsule form. These are literally capsules made from the cellulose found in vegetables and are 100 % natural.
That’s it. No other ingredients. These vitamins are also free of sugar, salt, starch, corn, yeast, wheat, soy, silica, dairy products, preservatives, artificial flavors, sweeteners and colors.
You would be extremely hard-pressed to find another vitamin free of those ingredients alone. Finding another vitamin free of those ingredients and containing only one natural ingredient? Forget it.

Nutrition
Pure Vitamin Club provides a very thorough breakdown of each vitamin and mineral included in their formation here. Their explanation of each vitamin and mineral is far better than anything I can provide you so I will not bore you by rehashing it.
The important thing is that these vitamins contain the 13 essential vitamins listed by the U.S. National Library of Medicine as well as 11 key minerals.
Pure Vitamin Club states that their multivitamins are designed to provide just what is needed in conjunction with a healthy diet and does not include vitamins and mineral daily values at higher levels than needed.
I really like that Pure Vitamin Club does not overload their daily values for each vitamin and mineral as many multivitamins contain laughably high amounts of specific vitamins. These high amounts are likely a waste at the very least, and harmful or toxic at the most, depending on the vitamin.
Now there is some debate that very high amounts of certain vitamins can be beneficial in certain instances however, I want to take a multivitamin that provides exactly what my body needs and nothing else. If I have a specific need for a certain vitamin than I will seek it out to take by itself however, I do not want my daily multivitamin to provide sky-high daily values above what is needed.

Serving size
The serving size for these vitamins is one capsule. It is a small capsule at that and very easy to take. It’s hard to believe that you can fit so many vitamins and minerals into one capsule but they have. I have taken multivitamins in the past which came in plastic packs sometimes containing up to 10 pills or capsules. Many of which were gigantic. I will never make that mistake again.

Pros and Cons of the Daily Multicap
Pros
- Pure ingredients
- Provides all essential vitamins and minerals
- Vitamins and minerals are not provided in unnecessarily high levels/values
- Comes in a 90-day supply
Cons
- More expensive than commercial multivitamins- If you are used to the standard commercial vitamins than these are likely more expensive.
- Subscription requirement for multivitamins through website-As I said above, you need to set up either a 30 or 90 day reoccurring delivery if you choose to order the multivitamins through the Pure Vitamin Club website. I tend to fear commitment and don’t usually like to subscribe to things so this might scare some people away. That being said, it doesn’t make any sense not to get them as a subscription if you plan on taking these daily. You will never run out and will save money in the long run.
Price
These vitamins are available on Amazon and through the Pure Vitamin Club website. The current price of these vitamins on Amazon is $39.99 for one 90-day supply bottle (as of 04/15/2019 12:35 EST-Product prices and availability are accurate as of the date/time indicated and are subject to change. Any price and availability information displayed on [relevant Amazon Site(s), as applicable] at the time of purchase will apply to the purchase of this product).
That’s approximately 44 cents per day. 44 cents a day for the purest vitamin available seems like a great price to me.
The price of a 90-day supply as a subscription through the Pure Vitamin Club website is currently $25.95 plus shipping. That’s around 30 cents a day per serving.
I have always gotten mine on Amazon however, I calculated the price on the Pure Vitamin Club website and with shipping it would be about 9 dollars cheaper per bottle, so I will probably be getting them on their website from now on.
While they may be more expensive than toxic commercial vitamins, I think that these vitamins are extremely well-priced based on their quality.

Bottom line
I have been taking these vitamins for the better part of 3 years after I heard about them through Vinnie’s podcast. I have taken a lot of different brands of vitamins through the years which have caused me some nasty side effects.
I have loved these vitamins since day one. Aside from being very easy to take, they also digest extremely well for me. I have never experienced any type of negative side effect from these ever. My energy is great with these vitamins and I can definitely notice if I forget to take them have to go without them for a bit because I ran out.
Aside from that, it’s evident that Pure Vitamin Club cares about its customers and lives up to its goal to create the purest vitamin available. Companies like them are the reason that I created this blog. They are out there, you just have to dig a bit.
If you are looking for a new multivitamin to try that is free of artificial ingredients than I highly recommend that you give these a try. I’m confident that you will enjoy them and make them your go-to multivitamin as I have.
Have you every tried Pure Vitamin Club’s Daily Multicap? I would love to hear your experience with them or answer any questions you have about them.
Great post. My wife and I have taken vitamins for most of our lives, and now that we are retired and in good health, we believe that we have done the right thing. We will look over your site and consider trying some of the supplements that you recommend.
Hi Roy,
That’s great to hear! It definitely sounds like you have done the right thing. I would really appreciate it if you looked over my site. I think you will likely find something that will benefit you in some way. Thanks for your comment.
This is a subject I would like to learn more about. As I’m eating cleaner than I have in years, I’m finding that I can’t just “take vitamins.” I still take my multi, plus D3 and B-Complex, but I’m leery of taking anything else (except a little extra C during flu season) because I know I’m taking in more vitamins with my eating than I used to when I was eating a lot of processed foods. Found out the hard way I was taking too much Calcium a while back, so I’m a little more careful now.
Hi Kelli,
Yeah that can happen when you take vitamins individually. If you are eating a very clean diet than you likely will not need too many vitamins. I always recommend that people at least take a multivitamin even if they eat healthy because the fruits and vegetables do not contain the amounts of vitamins they used to due to poor soil. Thank you for the comment!
I agree with your assessment totally. All of the Pure Vitamin Club products are top-notch and the management goes out of their way to be accommodating and helpful. The new electrolyte tablets are also really terrific. I have never had a negative reaction to any of their products, and like yourself, have been taking the multivitamin since its availability about three years ago. I also just noticed a posting from the company that the vitamins are now going to be sold in Europe in case any of your followers are “across the pond.” Thanks for your informative report.
Hi Steven,
Thank you. They have been nothing but great in my experience as well. I also saw that they were going to be available in Europe but forgot to mention that so thank you for reminding me! Wonderful that people outside of the states will now have access to these awesome vitamins. Thanks for the comment.
I totally agree that you should be aware of where you get your vitamins from. You are totally right about this subject. There are a lot of harmful supplements out there, claiming to be healthy and good for you! Not many people know this, so it’s great you are sharing this information. Keep up the good work!
Thanks Rob!
Hi Dan!
I am always looking for the healthiest version of products, with the least amount of ingredients as possible. I like to keep it minimal because it is good to know what is entering my body and the pros/cons it will have on my health. I love this website and post because you truly do all the work for us on exactly what is good and bad to be putting into our bodies! Even those these multivitamins are a little more expensive than the typical commercial vitamins, it feels like a steal to me for only 36 cents per day! Sometimes price isn’t as important as your overall health!
Thanks for another great post!
Hi Katie,
Thank you! I’m glad you get value out of it. I try to do my best and unfortunately, I have made many of the mistakes in the past I am trying to steer people away from. It’s honestly a very good price for such high quality vitamins. Health is something that’s very difficult to get back once you lose it so my strategy is do whatever I can to maintain it even if it means spending some extra money on good supplements. Thanks for your comment!
Hey Dan! I was looking into a multi vitamin but was always put off from purchasing one as you stated so accurately above that many are filled with unnatural ingredients and I can never be sure if they are doing more harm than good. I am so pleased to learn and read about the clean and natural advantages the multi cap of Pure Vitamin Club provides. I am curious now too, to check out that audio book provided by Vinnie! Thanks for the great post Dan.
Hi Bex,
I’m glad you stopped by then lol. It’s a really interesting book and I really enjoyed it. His podcast is also very good if you are into them. Thanks for your comment!
Great review Dan! I stopped taking vitamins years ago because of the crappy side effects from the fillers. Recently though my annual blood work showed a few vitamin and mineral deficiencies despite my eating a VERY clean diet. I’ve now ordered the daily multi from PVC so hopefully it works!
Hi Rich,
I went through a similar experience and swore off vitamins for a bit a few years ago. The scary thing is that even with a clean diet today, we likely aren’t getting the vitamins and minerals we need due to poor soil quality. I really think that you are going to enjoy them. I’d love to hear an update when you go back to get your levels checked again after taking them for a bit. Thanks for your comment.
I used to take multivitamins a lot to supplement for inconsistencies in my diet but I stopped a few months back after learning of the side effects of certain vitamins that shouldn’t even be included. This is a well reviewed article and on your recommendation I think I may just start taking supplements again. The pure vitamin club multivitamin is surely worth a try. Thanks for writing, cheers
Hi Louis,
Thank you! I’m glad it got you thinking about them again. As you can see, I definitely think that they are a great vitamin and worth a try. Thanks for your comment!
There was a time I actually thought that multivitamins were been used by only bodybuilders but I later realized that was not the case and those that are not bodybuilders can actually take them. The problem now is that these vitamins like you mentioned are now been created to contain artificial and unnecessary ingredients which are unhealthy to the body.
As this is something that we ingest into our bodies it is important that they are made with the purest of ingredients with high quality. How often do you suggest these multivitamins should be taken because some of us that take it don’t really get a prescription from Doctors but just take it because we feel it is healthy.
Hi Jay,
Definitely not the case. People from all walks of life should and do take multivitamins. It’s very difficult today to get all the vitamins and minerals we eat from our food. They are designed to be taken every day and that is how I take them. One capsule per day. You should be consistent with supplements if you are going to take them to get the best results. Thanks for your comment!
Thanks for this informative piece. Like you rightly said, for one to maintain a healthy living, multivitamins is important. I have been on the look out for a better multivitamins that comes recommended. At least with this review, I can be assured that I will get the value for my money. Looking at the pros, I am delighted that you can vouch that the multivitamins is made with pure ingredients, and not artificial. As for the cons, it is better for it to be expensive than not being effective. I will definitely check it out at Amazon.
Hi Gracen,
You’re welcome. I definitely think that they are important. These are a great value as you can see. I think that you will really enjoy these if you give them a try. Thanks for your comment!
Thanks for sharing this wonderful product most vitamins and minerals can be toxic and cause multiple health problems. pure vitamin is one of the best vitamin after reading this article and making my research online are specifically formulated to provide just what is needed for optimum nutrition, and to stay within healthy limits when taken along with a healthy, balanced diet.
Hi Seun,
You’re welcome. Agreed, a lot of vitamins and minerals on the market contain a ton of garbage that I definitely would never want to put into my body. These vitamins are truly something special. Thanks for your comment!
