One of the most common supplements people take are multivitamins. Unlike many of the supplements I discuss, multivitamins are not solely taken by athletes or bodybuilders.
The vast majority of people that take multivitamins do so because they want to be healthy and ensure that their body is getting the recommended daily amount of vitamins and minerals.
It’s a very easy step for many to take towards better health. While getting into the habit of working out can be difficult, taking one (or several) vitamins a day is easy for most to do, as long as they remember to do it!
I am a huge advocate for multivitamins and have been taking them as long as I can remember. Seriously, even before I was a teenager I can remember taking them. I also recall taking Flintstones vitamins as a child. If only all supplements tasted as good as those do right?
Like many supplements though, most of the multivitamins sold today contain artificial and unnecessary ingredients which can be harmful to our health.
There are a ton of cheaply made vitamins available in stores for people to buy and consume. Even worse, are expensive vitamins that are filled with the same garbage as the cheap ones. Some supplement “authorities” will claim that all vitamins are created equally so you may as well purchase the cheapest ones possible.
As you might guess, I totally disagree with that. Like all supplements we take, it is wise to take the purest and highest quality ones we can.
While searching for a quality multivitamin, I became very frustrated trying to find a good one that did not contain artificial ingredients. It proved to be quite difficult initially.
That was until I found the Daily Multicap vitamins produced by a company called Pure Vitamin Club. As if the company name alone doesn’t clarify their intentions, they set out to produce a vitamin free of additives or fillers. Just pure vitamins. As you will find below, I think they definitely accomplished their mission.
These are awesome vitamins and I am very excited to present you with my Pure Vitamin Club multivitamin review.
What is Pure Vitamin Club?
Pure Vitamin Club is a vitamin company created by a guy named Vinnie Tortorich. Vinnie is many things to include a celebrity trainer, podcaster, author and speaker.
Vinnie is typically known for promoting a diet called No sugar No Grains (NSNG), which is along the lines of a paleo type diet. For more information about the diet, I highly recommend Vinnie’s best-selling book, Fitness Confidential. I recommend getting the audio version of the book read by Vinnie as I did, because you’re going to love this guys voice and personality.
Anyways, the important thing is that Vinnie is very knowledgeable and well-respected in the health and fitness community. He is not just some random guy that decided to produce a vitamin.
Vinnie explains in the Why Pure Vitamin Club section of the website that he created Pure Vitamin Club because he was upset with the difficulty of finding a vitamin free of artificial fillers and preservatives. Vinnie explains that he wanted to create a vitamin free of artificial fillers and ingredients that is actually good for you at a reasonable price.
Pure Vitamin Club is designed to be a vitamin subscription service. If you purchase their Daily Multicap vitamins through their website, which I recommend, you will need to set up a reoccurring subscription of either 30 or 90 days. You can order all of their other supplements through their website on one time basis and do not need to subscribe to anything. Their multivitamins are available on Amazon however, so if you are really set on ordering them without a subscription you can do so.
With Pure Vitamin Club, you choose the vitamins you want and select whether you want them delivered every 30 or 90 days. The vitamins are then delivered to your door like clockwork. You will never run out of vitamins again. Pure Vitamin Club also provides members with free newsletters and videos each month.
At the time of this post, Pure Vitamin Club produces the following supplements: a multivitamin, magnesium, Vitamin B-12, Vitamin D3 and an electrolyte complex.
Although I have purchased their magnesium as well in the past, Pure Vitamin Club’s Daily Multicap is the supplement that I have taken the most from them. It is my current go-to daily multivitamin and has been for years.
The Daily Multicap is an essential multivitamin/multimineral formula designed to be taken daily as the name implies. This vitamin is specifically designed and formulated to provide the optimal amounts of the 13 essential vitamins and 11 key minerals.
This may just be the easiest ingredient section I’ve done to date. Aside from the vitamins and minerals, the only other ingredient in these vitamins is vegetable capsules from cellulose, as the vitamins are in capsule form. These are literally capsules made from the cellulose found in vegetables and are 100 % natural.
That’s it. No other ingredients. These vitamins are also free of sugar, salt, starch, corn, yeast, wheat, soy, silica, dairy products, preservatives, artificial flavors, sweeteners and colors.
You would be extremely hard-pressed to find another vitamin free of those ingredients alone. Finding another vitamin free of those ingredients and containing only one natural ingredient? Forget it.
Pure Vitamin Club provides a very thorough breakdown of each vitamin and mineral included in their formation here. Their explanation of each vitamin and mineral is far better than anything I can provide you so I will not bore you by rehashing it.
The important thing is that these vitamins contain the 13 essential vitamins listed by the U.S. National Library of Medicine as well as 11 key minerals.
Pure Vitamin Club states that their multivitamins are designed to provide just what is needed in conjunction with a healthy diet and does not include vitamins and mineral daily values at higher levels than needed.
I really like that Pure Vitamin Club does not overload their daily values for each vitamin and mineral as many multivitamins contain laughably high amounts of specific vitamins. These high amounts are likely a waste at the very least, and harmful or toxic at the most, depending on the vitamin.
Now there is some debate that very high amounts of certain vitamins can be beneficial in certain instances however, I want to take a multivitamin that provides exactly what my body needs and nothing else. If I have a specific need for a certain vitamin than I will seek it out to take by itself however, I do not want my daily multivitamin to provide sky-high daily values above what is needed.
The serving size for these vitamins is one capsule. It is a small capsule at that and very easy to take. It’s hard to believe that you can fit so many vitamins and minerals into one capsule but they have. I have taken multivitamins in the past which came in plastic packs sometimes containing up to 10 pills or capsules. Many of which were gigantic. I will never make that mistake again.
Pros and Cons of the Daily Multicap
- Pure ingredients
- Provides all essential vitamins and minerals
- Vitamins and minerals are not provided in unnecessarily high levels/values
- Comes in a 90-day supply
- More expensive than commercial multivitamins- If you are used to the standard commercial vitamins than these are likely more expensive.
- Subscription requirement for multivitamins through website-As I said above, you need to set up either a 30 or 90 day reoccurring delivery if you choose to order the multivitamins through the Pure Vitamin Club website. I tend to fear commitment and don’t usually like to subscribe to things so this might scare some people away. That being said, it doesn’t make any sense not to get them as a subscription if you plan on taking these daily. You will never run out and will save money in the long run.
These vitamins are available on Amazon and through the Pure Vitamin Club website. The current price of these vitamins on Amazon is $39.99 for one 90-day supply bottle (as of 04/15/2019 12:35 EST-Product prices and availability are accurate as of the date/time indicated and are subject to change. Any price and availability information displayed on [relevant Amazon Site(s), as applicable] at the time of purchase will apply to the purchase of this product).
That’s approximately 44 cents per day. 44 cents a day for the purest vitamin available seems like a great price to me.
The price of a 90-day supply as a subscription through the Pure Vitamin Club website is currently $25.95 plus shipping. That’s around 30 cents a day per serving.
I have always gotten mine on Amazon however, I calculated the price on the Pure Vitamin Club website and with shipping it would be about 9 dollars cheaper per bottle, so I will probably be getting them on their website from now on.
While they may be more expensive than toxic commercial vitamins, I think that these vitamins are extremely well-priced based on their quality.
I have been taking these vitamins for the better part of 3 years after I heard about them through Vinnie’s podcast. I have taken a lot of different brands of vitamins through the years which have caused me some nasty side effects.
I have loved these vitamins since day one. Aside from being very easy to take, they also digest extremely well for me. I have never experienced any type of negative side effect from these ever. My energy is great with these vitamins and I can definitely notice if I forget to take them have to go without them for a bit because I ran out.
Aside from that, it’s evident that Pure Vitamin Club cares about its customers and lives up to its goal to create the purest vitamin available. Companies like them are the reason that I created this blog. They are out there, you just have to dig a bit.
If you are looking for a new multivitamin to try that is free of artificial ingredients than I highly recommend that you give these a try. I’m confident that you will enjoy them and make them your go-to multivitamin as I have.
Have you every tried Pure Vitamin Club’s Daily Multicap? I would love to hear your experience with them or answer any questions you have about them.
